About
As the Manager at Wix Playground Academy NYC (Wix Brand), I undertook the pivotal responsibility of overseeing and orchestrating a dynamic 5-week intensive program tailored for emerging visual designers. Throughout my tenure, I played a dual role as both the lead mentor and head of the program, bringing a wealth of experience to guide and inspire aspiring designers. Over the course of three years as the lead mentor, I provided hands-on guidance to participants, fostering an environment for them to expand their multidisciplinary design practices. In my subsequent two years as the head of the program, I steered the overall direction and execution of the academy, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience. The program not only provided participants with valuable insights but also facilitated unique opportunities for learning from the industry's best creatives in the vibrant landscape of New York City. My role at Wix Playground Academy NYC was characterized by a commitment to nurturing emerging talent and contributing to the growth of the next generation of visual designers.

In my dynamic role at Wix Playground Academy, I not only contributed to the growth of emerging visual designers through the intensive program but also extended my impact by teaching design at prestigious institutions like Pratt, SVA, Parsons New School, SCAD, and MICA. As an educator, I leveraged my expertise to impart valuable knowledge and skills to students at renowned institutions, further enriching their educational experience. Additionally, I actively engaged with the broader design community by organizing and hosting community design events at Wix. These events served as collaborative platforms, bringing together diverse communities such as It's Nice That from the UK, TypeThursday NYC, Draft & Draw, Awwwards, and more. By fostering these connections, I not only facilitated knowledge exchange but also contributed to the vibrant and inclusive design ecosystem, creating opportunities for learning, networking, and inspiration. My role extended beyond traditional teaching, encompassing a commitment to building bridges within the design community on both local and global scales.
